1. Worry-Free Wear Lifetime Protection
Signet offers a number guarantees and programs to allow customers to maintain and enjoy their jewelry.
Lifetime Diamond and Gemstone Guarantee
Signet guarantees our diamond, sapphire, ruby, and emerald gemstone jewelry for a lifetime. Signet authorized jewelry professionals will inspect and document their findings, and fix any problems they find, and with no cost to the consumer. Signet will replace, at no cost to the customer, - any diamond, emerald, ruby, or sapphire covered by this Guarantee if it chips, breaks, or is lost from its original setting during normal wear. Customers must have their diamond and/or gemstone inspected every six months by an authorized representative at a Signet banner. In addition, all necessary repairs must be completed by Signet representatives.
Lifetime Diamond Trade-In Policy
Signet takes in thousands of pieces of jewelry each year through our trade-in programs. We restock loose diamonds and send them to our in-store design centers, where they are available to our jewelers to incorporate into new designs. We send precious metals to refineries where they can be repurposed and recirculated through the economy.

Extended Service Agreements
Signet banners offer Protection Plans under different names, all of which provide service a lifetime of service for a one-time cost. At the time of purchase to allow customers an affordable option to keep their jewelry in good repair and remove barriers to repair. Signet also offers extended warranties after purchase and after repair. Digital capabilities now allow customers to purchase protection plans online for past jewelry purchases.
2. Jewelry Care and Repair Services
Jewelry care and repair services are offered to customers on all jewelry, not just jewelry purchased at Signet banners. Signet is the nation’s largest provider of jewelry repair services. In an average year, our more than 1,400 expert jewelers repair, restore and fix 4 - 5 million pieces of jewelry. Our jewelry care and repair services include:
- Ring sizing — right-size the ring to ensure the best comfort and fit
- Prong/Stone tightening — use existing metal to tighten the stone in a non-prong setting.
- Stone resetting — reset diamonds and gemstones into an existing setting.
- Repair damaged setting — repair the part of the jewelry that includes only the central gem, typically the “head” and “shoulders” of a ring.
- Refinish and polish — properly clean the jewelry and polish to restore the beautiful luster.
- Repair damaged earring backs — repair or replacement of earring back and post.
- Repair clasp — repair of the spring-loaded round jewelry clasp
- Re-tip prongs — rebuilding of damaged or worn prongs.
- Rhodium finish — ring is dipped in rhodium for a crisp, extra shiny look.
